Ae Immigration Law Office, P.A. is focused exclusively on Immigration and Nationality Law. The aim of the Firm is to provide its clients an excellent legal service, from its lawyer, Aponte Emercio J., who is also an Immigrant himself.​

Our office is located in Gainesville, Florida, and represent clients all over Florida, the 50 states of the United States of America, Washington, D.C., and abroad.​ Since June 2022 we have another location in Orlando, FL.

Emercio J.
Aponte
Emercio Jose Aponte is licensed in the state of Illinois and his practice is limited to Immigration and Nationality Law. He is also licensed to practice law in Venezuela. He has studied in Universities from USA, Europe and Latin-American. Since 2020, Doctor Aponte is a Collaborator Professor at the Open University of Catalonia, and, until 2019, he was an Adjunct Professor at FAMU College of Law (Orlando, FL) where he taught International Human Rights Law, International Law and Asylum Law.

Likewise, Doctor Aponte was an Associate Professor of the School of Law and Political Science of the Universidad del Zulia, Venezuela (2007-2018), where he taught Venezuelan Constitutional Law and Human Rights.
​
Since 2018 he is a member of the Public International Law, Human Rights and Global Justice Committee of the Florida Bar International Law Section. During the 2018-2019 period he was the Chair of the working group on global recruitment and human rights education, during the period 2019-2020 he was one of its Co-Chairs, and from 2020 until 2022 he was the Chair.

As an immigrant, He is clearly aware of the numerous challenges faced by many immigrants, that is why he decided to dedicate his practice in helping them to achieve immigration benefits.

LEGAL ASSISTANT
Andrea Paola Aponte graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Criminology and a minor in Environmental Justice and Policy in May 2024. She is a second-year law student at Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. She is actively involved in leadership roles within the Student Bar Association and the Immigration Law Society, where she contributes to student advocacy, event coordination, and community-focused initiatives.

She currently serves as a Legal Assistant at the Orlando office, where she supports our attorney in client communication, case preparation, and day-to-day legal operations.
​
Andrea plans to pursue a career primarily in immigration law, driven by her genuine passion for the field and her commitment to advocating for immigrant communities. She also maintains a strong interest in family law and wills and trusts, with the goal of developing a well-rounded legal practice.
​
She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
LEGAL ASSISTANT
Jose Luis Armas was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Prior to his arrival to the United States, Jose Luis Armas worked as an attorney and was an entrepreneur in Venezuela. He emigrated to the United States in 2018. He is currently improving his English skills and has the aim in the near future to study and get a JD degree in the United States.
​
As an immigrant himself and throughout his own experience in the United States, he truly believes that all immigrants deserve an excellent legal service and to be treated with respect, honesty and kindness; that is why, he decided to join AE Immigration Law Office, PA as a Legal Assistant. He is married and has a daughter.
​
Jose Luis Armas is a Legal Assistant at the Orlando Office.
